Summer Company

Summer Company is the Government of Ontario’s flagship youth entrepreneurship program. It provides enterprising young people aged 15-29 with the opportunity to start and run their own summer businesses.

You could be eligible, if you:

  • go to high school, college or university
  • live in Ontario
  • are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • are between 15-29 years old (if under 18: a parent needs to sign the application)
  • are not already running a business
  • are not working at another job or going to school for more than 12 hours a week during the program
  • are returning to school after the program ends

Starter Company Plus

WANT TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS, BUY OR EXPAND AN EXISTING COMPANY?  NEED $5,000 OR LESS FOR START UP, OR EXPANSION?

Then Starter Company Plus is for you!
If you’ve got a winning idea for starting a new business and are not a student you should consider applying to our Starter Company Plus program.
How it Works
Starter Company Plus is a training program for enterprising people who want to start, and/or expand a business in their community. The program provides training sessions on aspects of running a successful business and mentorship from local business leaders.
Successful applicants may apply for a grant of up to $5,000 upon the completion of a business plan.
Successful applicants must provide matching funds worth 25% (in cash or equivalent) of the grant. This requirement will be waived in exceptional circumstances (including but not limited to individuals with special needs or those that have faced personal set-backs).

Futurpreneur

Futurpreneur Canada has been fueling the entrepreneurial passions of Canada’s young enterprise for nearly two decades. They are the only national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. Their internationally recognized mentoring program hand matches young entrepreneurs with a business expert from a network of more than 2,800 volunteer mentors. Read More about Futurepreneur
